  1. I've seen videos of the machines before, but not to this extent — it makes me wonder, though, when you said that one man had filled up a bag with the whipped cream cans, and then the machine with butter, etc. With this proliferation of machines, are the prices comparable or double or what, in comparison to grocery stores? Are supermarkets few and far between and thus the need for so many vending machines? (Which is an awesome idea — here in Italy they have some "24/7" machines but there aren't that many and the quality of the products is seriously questionable AND they are generally double to triple the price…and most of the time products get stuck etc.)

  2. My man could make a food dumpster diving video and still act like everything he eats is insanely delicious.

  3. Oh, I'm sure it broke your heart to get two of those luscious cans of matcha green tea. j/k As usual, Japan has you covered for good eats on the cheap, it appears, and it proves that one wisenheimer who tried telling me on one of your other Japan videos that "JAPAN IS ONLY CHEAP IF YOU ARE A WEALTHY FOREIGNER," to be dead wrong. Maybe next time I go to Japan I need to land at Haneda so I can check out these machines for myself! (Were Haneda security looking at you funny as you went from machine to machine?)

  4. Is it weird that I thought the vending machine food would be ready to eat? I did not expect he had to take it back and cook it. lol

Okay, 22 minutes in and it has the vending machines with cooked meals. Yay!

  5. mikey drinking game, take one shot for every "umami', "tender", and "phenomenal". And take 3 for "umami bomb"

  6. My first job, in the industrial U.S. South in the 1970's, was as a Vending Attendant. I stocked, inventoried, and maintained large banks of vending machines at large companies. Later, I prepared the dinners and sandwiches food for the vending machines. I liked my job, but it was nothing like this. My clients loved even the limited variety. I am envious of what you are experiencing.

  7. I always thought those machine were wizardly and provided ready to eat meals! fun and informative video!
