Solo Travel Yokohama / Tokyo: Harbor View Park, Home of a Diplomat, Yokohama Chinatown 2024

Saturday, September 21, 2024.

I am back in Tokyo and checked in Conrad. My room is on the 32nd and I can see the Tokyo Skytree.

Anyways, I stayed at Hilton Yokohama last night which was a one-hour subway ride to save $200 a night.

However, the hotel where I stayed at increased its rate for tonight by another $300. So, I am now back here using a free-night certificate. If I did not have that, this hotel would have cost $800 a night.

That’s one of the perks for having an American Express Hilton Aspire credit card. The credit card costs me $550 a year, but it has saved me so much more than that.

Anyways, the places I visited today are as follows:

Number 1, Hilton Yokohama.

This hotel is where I spent the night.

Number 2, Harbor View.

The historical area offers a view of the harbor which is now the Yokohama port and was also the location of the British consulate in 1937.

Number 3, Home of a Diplomat.

This very American-style house was the home of a Japanese diplomat to Turkey. However, it was undergoing renovations so I was unable to explore that place.

Number 4, Yokohama Chinatown.

Chinatowns are all over the world, including Yokohama.

Enjoy the video.
