⁴ᴷ Chiba: Yachiyodai Station (千葉県: 八千代台駅) – Japan Walking Tour (August, 2024)
Due to the approaching typhoon, I wasn’t able to take photos over the weekend, so I continued my journey on a weekday, moving from Funabashi City to Yachiyo City in Chiba Prefecture. Before the station was built, this area was known as Narashinohara, an open field. Later, it became known as the birthplace of residential complexes, with many large-scale housing developments. The number of passengers once exceeded 70,000, but it has now decreased to around 40,000. Despite the still significant number of passengers, the area around the station has a somewhat deserted atmosphere.
