    it's almost certain that the owner is making the 'special effects' at night to make the stay interesting.
    Somebody going outside and throwing a few small rocks against the Inn (which funnily you've been informed about), and the footsteps. Oh well, it's all about the excitement offered and commercial value.

    "Orbs" are just out of focus dust particles lit against a darker background. Dusty and dark environments will have lots of "orbs" when lit!
