Nebuta Warasse is a modern museum dedicated to showcasing the vibrant Nebuta Festival, one of Japan’s largest and most iconic festivals held annually in early August in Aomori City. The striking red building houses an impressive exhibition hall that displays five massive nebuta floats from the previous year’s festival.
A nebuta is a colorful and intricately crafted float depicting warrior figures and scenes from Japanese mythology, illuminated from within to create a dazzling nighttime spectacle. The floats at Warasse are truly awe-inspiring, measuring up to 9 meters long, 5 meters wide, and 7 meters tall.
