Japan in general is not halal. But because there is a good demand for halal products, especially in Tokyo with certain foreign residential communities, stores will make sure to label things as halal. If you go on the family mart corporate website and if it has no mention of it being halal it’s 100% not halal.

I don’t know for sure, but my boss is a practicing Muslim who does have religious dietary restrictions, and he eats the absolute fuck out of any and all fried chicken, including famichiki.
