After celebrating turning 15 years old this year, Thomas Land is getting ready for Christmas with the fantastic Christmas Wonderland event including this live performance at the Knapford Station Balcony with Sir Topham Hatt’s hilarious sidekicks Rusty and Dusty. There is also a chance to meet Sir Topham Hatt with Rusty and Dusty after each show
Drayton Manor Christmas Wonderland opens for 2024 and we take you on a magical festive journey to make memories you’ll never forget at the Thomas Land winter wonderland this Christmas. Drayton Manor’s Christmas Wonderland is open on selected dates between 24th November and 31st December 2023. Christmas attractions include Santa’s Grotto the fabulous Wishmas Express as well as Christmas Singalong Spectacular.
Thomas Land is a popular themed area located within the Drayton Manor Theme Park in Staffordshire, England. Based on the beloved British Railway Series books by Wilbert Awdry and his son, Christopher first published in 1945 and later made into a popular television Thomas and Friends and the new Thomas & Freinds: All Engines Go series. Thomas Land occupies the former site of Robinsons Land, a themed area sponsored by the soft drinks brand of the same name.
Construction began while the park was still open in September 2007, and many of the Robinsons Land rides were moved to other areas of the park for the remainder of the season. The rides housed in Robinsons Land except the Veteran Cars (now Sodor’s Classic Cars) were then sold to Funland in Hayling Island.
Thomas Land officially opened to the public on 15 March 2008. An expansion of Thomas Land with additional attractions and private party rooms opened on 8 April 2015.
There is also a Thomas Land located in Fuji-Q Highland Park in Japan which opened in 1998 and has some similar rides including Go Go Balst Road which is the same as Rocking Bulstrode and Shuppatsu! Harold’s Sky Patrol which is Harold’s Helicopter Tours. Thomas Land is included in the Drayton Manor Park ticket.
