Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺, literally “Temple of the Golden Pavilion”), officially named Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺, lit. ’Deer Garden Temple’), is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan.[2] It is one of the most popular buildings in Kyoto, attracting many visitors annually.[3] It is designated as a National Special Historic Site, a National Special Landscape and is one of 17 locations making up the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto which are World Heritage Sites.[4]
Kinkaku-ji was ranked the No. 85 Most Holy Place on Earth[5] by religious leaders, writers and scholars in the Patheos multi-faith religion project Sacred Spaces: The 100 Most Holy Places on Earth.
Mount Fuji: Mount Fuji is the highest active volcanic mountain in Japan that is considered to be sacred in the Shinto Religion. Travellers and adventure enthusiasts love to climb to the top of the mountain from July to August. Climbing to the top, you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of nature as well as get a chance to indulge in some of the adventure activities like skiing.
Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan
Topping the list of some of the most unique Osaka beautiful places is the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. With a structure that resembles giant blocks of Lego, this aquarium is one of the biggest in the world. It is here where you can see several thousand marine and other wildlife species not just from Japan, but also from Antarctica, the Pacific Ocean, the Great Barrier Reef as well as the Monterey Bay.

Home to 27 large tanks, the aquarium is a great place to catch sights of freshwater marine species, in addition to the native Japanese mammals and reptiles. For a more unique experience, visit the aquarium at night, when all the tanks are lit up, making the ambience more magical.

Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine
Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine is considered to be the head shrine of the Kami Inari. The shrine is famous for its vermilion torii gates which formed a network of trails behind the main building.

As per legends, foxes are believed to be the messenger of Inari and for this reason, you will also come across a number of fox statues across the shrine grounds.

Nara Park
Nara Park, located in the city of Nara, is a public park at the foothills of Mount Wakakusa. The park was brought into being in the year 1880 and at the present time it is one of the oldest parks in Japan. The park is administered by control of Nara Prefecture.

The park is home to about 1000 deer and it has become the symbol of the city. The deers in the park are surprisingly tame but they can be aggressive as well.

Todaiji Temple
Todaiji (東大寺, Tōdaiji, “Great Eastern Temple”) is one of Japan’s most famous and historically significant temples and a landmark of Nara. The temple was constructed in 752 as the head temple of all provincial Buddhist temples of Japan and grew so powerful that the capital was moved away from Nara in 784 in order to lower the temple’s influence on government affairs.
