  1. This is not the end. the new brand CR450 which has 450kph maximum speed is on the way. that's means, you can spend less time from Beijing to Shanghai by take bullets trains than fly. THAT'S INCREDIBLE!!!

  2. Congrats on finally making it to China.
China's HSR network is simply the best, no other country even come close.
Great video, factual and honest review. Love it.
Look forward to more of your videos in China.

  3. The Japanese SC maglev will do 600 km/h from Melbourne to Sydney making $2,000,000 per night with overnight container trains.

  4. You mentioned before about a transit visa – is this required for travel within China? As an Irish passport holder myself, I would love to visit China someday, as they did have Riverdance in China at one point – the trains livery closely resembles that of Bus Éireann minus the Irish red setter logo

  5. As I requested, let's come to Indonesia brother and try the sister of this train. 2nd fastest in the world.

  6. 70 quid ! Thats what it cost from Plymouth to Bristol 90 MILES , in a very basic train with very hard seats and usually non working toilets , standing room only at busy times ,,, how do GWR and Cross country get away with it ? The Uk train network is VERY POOR VALUE FOR MONEY

  7. Thank you for your video! I am from Nanjing, and in October just have the fourth high speed line between Nanjing and Shanghai. The fast service between the two cities are 59 minutes, cover a distance approximately the same between London and Manchester 😅

  8. I litterally felt in love with Shanghai !! People are so kind and a great hospitality ! 🙂 Kisses from Paris and Europe 😘😘😘😘

  9. Great trip. Finally your China trip report started here. Sadly it's a short hop due to limitations of visa type you use, but can't wait for another trip report in China. That capacity is huge for High Speed Train, but that make sense since it's connecting two cities with biggest population. Ah also, Can't wait for your trip report using this train but Outside China.

  10. U have to try the new compartment suites train in Indonesia. For now they only available in Agro Semeru and Bima. Both of those train goes from Gambir Station in Jakarta to Surabaya Gubeng Sation using southern route. U don't have to go all the way to Surabaya u could just stop at Yogyakarta Tugu Station and take the historic tour in the city and visit some ancient temples and palaces arround the area. U won't regret it I promise u. ❤

  11. So, the present limit is 350 km/h although capable of 400 km/h. Not too clear from the video. Tests would have had to hit 385 km/h.

  12. 11:00 wait… I don't think you will cross Yangzi river if you just go from Shanghai to Nanjing… What you were crossing in the video is probably Yangcheng Lake (阳澄湖) in Suzhou.

  13. These trains are perfect for long distance domestic travel. China should encourage train usage and discourage domestic flying. The trains are fast, safe, and far more efficient than planes. One very important benefit is that China can retire many Boeing planes. No doubt the US government will prevent the maintenance of those planes at some point.

  14. 不明白中国的司机和管理部门总是那么过分谨慎和胆小,开到347就不敢加速了,加到351不要紧!2011出事是管理问题,不是技术问题!600公里的磁悬浮尽快建,别怕!

  15. Great vlog! One error in the video – the water you crossed on the way is not Yangtze River but Taihu Lake. You only get to cross the Yangtze River AFTER departing Nanjing heading north. Welcome to China 🎉

  16. That business class would be awesome as an overnight option too if you ask me. And it's more space efficient than roomettes.

  17. Correction: Largest cities in mainland China by population of urban area

    Rank City Province Latest Estimate[6] 2010 Census[7]

    1 Shanghai — 26,875,500 20,217,748 +6,658,652

    2 Beijing⍟# — 21,167,303 16,704,306 +4,462,997

    3 Guangzhou#* 18,810,600 10,641,408 +8,169,192

  18. Less than 20 quid Shanghai to Nanjing! And in just over an hour. You could use this as a work commute if you plan it well. However, I do not see how you could have crossed the Yangzi between Shanghai and Changzhou?

  19. The “Yangtze River” in this video is actually Yangcheng Lake. The trip from Shanghai to Nanjing will not cross Yangtze River

  20. China is so obsessed with high speed railways. Whilst in the UK HS2 has been mothballed and will only go as far as Birmingham from London.
