We have been cats, cats+dogs, and dogs people all our lives. Can't imagine our world without them. Our current two varmints are really my bookends and road trips with them are wonderful escape hatches for us all. Love how you call your furried ones the ladies. Thank you for taking us along.

Have a tip re: washing dishes and other stuff!
I see you, actually, "wash" your dishes, et al, using lots of water and, Ick, "dish detergent"? You do realize that "dd" will remove industrial grease and oil from any universally known surfaces……that you can never completely rinse it off anything no matter how much hot water you use……and, you can only imagine what that "dd" is doing to your alimentary canal and the rest of your precious body parts and systems? STOP IT!
Let me introduce to you the "super hot water system" of cleaning just about anything that is not adversely affected by same super hot water! Requires lots of high quality paper towels or launderable cloth towels?
Scrape and wipe clean all items to be cleaned.
Place in wire basket with handle in sink or outside.
Heat water in steam kettle to whistling hot.
Pour steaming hot water over stuff to be washed shaking or moving around wire basket with handle making sure all debris and oil and grease are rinsed off cleanly.
Immediately, using paper or cloth towels, wipe all items clean and dry. Set aside and let cool.
BE CAREFUL! DO NOT BURN YOURSELF!
You will use considerably less water……everthing will be sanitized…..and you will not be ingesting super negative chemicals.
For gunked up pots and pans etc…….let steaming water stand in pan overnight after using wood utensils to scrap and loosen stuck on gunk in water. In morning, repeat the steaming rinse and towel wipe procedure!
Try it! You will like it and your fresh water supply will last much, much longer?

Colorado is so nice right now. I was in the Spanish Peaks a few days ago and there are signs of fall in the trees. Not quite red and orange yet, but soon!
