  1. Martabak blew us away. It was definitely a great tasting treat, and Pasar Cidu market in Makassar is a MUST VISIT place ❤

  2. Mumpung masih di sulawesi , saran berkunjung ke taman wisata rammang-rammang di Maros tempatnya sangat indah

  3. 4:30 Terang Bulan (Martabak Manis you guys already tried in Jakarta) ppl in east part Indonesia called Terang (Bright) Bulan (Moon) ❤ This one you try in Makassar is Martabak Telur the savoury one

  4. 15:41 the real name of the dish börek it is in the traditional Ottoman kitchen,Turks,Bosnians and Albanians make it very well.

  5. Naomi, since she is German, would not have any problems saying Indonesian words. Luke, on the other hand, might have a slight problem. Indonesian and German languages have similarities. One of which is in Bahasa Indonesia, we say a word as it is written, just like German languange, unlike English where you write one way and read it another way.
Thank you guys for trying to learn our language. That is very flattering and heart-warming.

  6. Usually there's a dipping sauce that comes with it.. tastes even better with it. I truly respect you two for showing the amount of respect you've shown so far for my fellow countrymen and our food ❤ 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

  7. If you mean Byrek, it's totally different Luke. Byrek is pastry, baked but I prefer Byrek to martabak though. Martabak is too greasy for me.
FYI, the last time we visited Makassar was in 2011 and I'd never known this night market until I saw your video. We're dutch-Indonesians from Makassar but our grandparents left Indonesia early 70's. Thanks for sharing the video guys.

  8. All I want to say is that if you two keep talking to people at pasars at this rate, I'm pretty sure that you two can speak Indonesian in even less than a year.

  9. if you're in makassar u should try COTO MAKASSAR like COTO GAGAK ( @ Gagak Street ) , COTO NUSANTARA. Sop KONRO BAWAKARAENG and SOP KONRO KAREBOSI

  10. So what you know in Jakarta as Martabak Manis in Makassar we called it Terang Bulan and wherever you see the Cart for Martabak Telur you can order Terang Bulan too. Love to see how you both interact with the Kids, they are arround you because they just love to be with foreigner and they will be happy enough if interact to them. For that Lady who gave you free food its really nice to see and she is happy enough when you mention her place name or her Gerobak. I remember my old days in Makassar 20 or 23 years back during my college year, can't wait to see your next video keep them coming stay safe and healty
