Not sure I know anyone who wouldn’t want to go to a Sumo tournament in Japan at least once! For me, this was a check mark beside one of my bucket list items.
The September sumo tournament is the penultimate of Japan’s six annual Sumo Tournaments, known as honbasho.
Dates 10th Sep–24th Sep, 2023
Venue Ryogoku Kokugikan national sumo stadium in Tokyo Japan near Tokyo Skytree.
Sumo tournaments will sell out so plan ahead, way ahead! This is a link for sumo dates in 2024 and 2025, There is still one more in Fukuoka in December, 2023.
