Cruise news today. A cruise ship returned to a Florida port with one passenger missing. Authorities in South Florida are currently searching for a missing individual who was last seen on a Carnival Cruise ship. Kevin McGrath, a 26-year-old man, was reported missing on Monday after the Carnival Conquest returned to Port Miami. Disney Cruise Line is set to launch its new Disney Treasure cruise ship in December 2024, offering a blend of theme park magic and cruise. The ship will feature eateries, attractions, and accommodations inspired by iconic Disney World and Disneyland rides and areas, including a Periscope Pub based on “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” and a Jungle Cruise-inspired lounge called Skipper Society. I really have to try a Disney cruise. I think it’s cool about the floating terminal. This could give different islands an opportunity to welcome cruise ships , a different option from the Bahamas.

The floating dock concept would probably be something Tampa and Jacksonville might look into if the day comes that NONE of the cruise ships can fit under the Sunshine Skyway or the Dames Point! What a strange disappearance off the Conquest! So, he never walked off the ship yet an extensive search aboard the ship turned up nothing. If he jumped off as the ship was docking but I would think someone would have seen it. Either he found a really good hiding spot onboard the ship or he got off the ship somehow with no one noticing!
Okay, so let's say he managed to successfully stowaway on board. He could sleep on the loungers, eat at the buffet. But he won't be able to order any drinks without his Sign and Sail card. He won't be able to get off the ship at any ports without his S&S card. I imagine they've packed up so his clothes, toiletries and personal possessions. If he's a stowaway he certainly didn't think things through.
Anytime someone jumps or disappears at the END of a cruise, it makes me wonder if they've racked up such a high bar tab, gambling debt or room charges that they can't pay.

Why are Cruise Ships so dangerous?
You either get thrown overboard, accidentally fall overboard, fall overboard and get eaten by a Shark, or just plain phucking come up missing.
