Happy birthday to my favourite seiyuu, Nakashima Yuki! I started following her after she replaced the voice lines of of Imai Lisa in the global version of BanG! Dream in 2019 (god I feel old). To see her continue to have success is always great to see! Instead of doing a write-up (because I am bad with write-ups) about Yukki (one of Nakashima Yuki’s nicknames), I’ll instead talk about what she is up to as of late.
While Yukki started her solo music career in 2020 with “Chapter I”, she was very involved with music early on as she was a member of Earth Star Dream. She also did voiceover work within the jubeat rhythm game series and even did a song, [“Be a Hero!”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxPLhVEy7eg&pp=ygUY5Lit5bO255Sx6LK044CAYmUgYSBoZXJv), for the 7th Konami Arcade Championship (the annual rhythm game tournament for KONAMI IPs such as SOUND VOLTEX, jubeat, pop’n music etc.). She released her second album “Sapphire” earlier this March and released her third single “A NEW DAY”, the ending theme for “The Great Cleric”, shortly after. She premiered her fourth single “Kasumi no Mukouhe”, the ending theme for the second season of “Goblin Slayer” at this year’s Anisama (Animelo Summer Live). I recommend the title track, [“Chapter I”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fL8DfSt3Oco). It’s a fun, high-energy, summery tune.
Yukki started a YouTube channel alongside fellow Roselia member Sakuragawa Megu in 2019 aptly named “YukiMegu TV”. It’s predominantly a gaming channel. They’re currently doing their first playthrough of Undertale so you can go check that out [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMvLzMTnwpo). She also has her own program called “Nakashima Yuki no Futari Game” where she, alongside a guest, play games and discuss some random topics at hand. It changed to “Nakashima Yuki no Futari Game Plus” when she added a co-host, another fellow member of Roselia, Shizaki Kanon. The co-host is currently on rotation with Shindou Amane having finished her last co-host of the program and the new co-host is Aiba Aina, vocalist of Roselia. You may also catch her as an MC for the bi-weekly Dengeki Game Live, a livestream covering games that recently released or are upcoming. In fact, the newest episode of Futari Game Plus is [Wednesday](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3zZSh4xMAU) and the newest Dengeki Game Live is [Thursday](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XomznBUTj5o) so you can check them out for yourselves. As you can see, she is an avid gamer.
She is a regular for the magazine “Seiyuu Grand Prix” with a corner called “Iroha ni Yukki” that started in June of this year. She just announced a new [photobook](https://x.com/Yuki_Nakashim/status/1700745007186297338?s=20) that is scheduled to release in December. Finally, she is an official public ambassador for her native prefecture of Wakayama. Recently, she was on “Oideyo Wakayama”, a program where they featured some of the local goods produced in the Wakayama prefecture.
So happy birthday once again to Yukki! I can’t wait to see the things that she’ll do in the future.
