Our hearts go out to those lost in the Lahaina Fire and the community members who lost everything. Lahaina and its community are beautiful. This is how we will remember Lahaina. Hawaii charities that are making a difference are listed below for donations. Rebuilding the homes, buildings, and businesses that have been lost is going to be a marathon. The community will need support for a long time, so please don’t forget them after the news cycle moves on.

Can You Travel to Maui Right Now? It’s a complicated answer

We’ve all seen the devastation caused by the wildfires in Lahaina. The footage we captured over the last few years highlights the architecture, the historical places, the banyan tree, the local restaurants, and a little of the local community. A lot of Front Street is shown as we always try to avoid filming people and homes.

We have been visiting Lahaina since we were kids and our family got the chance to live there for three years. We wish we had more videos, but we are happy to at least have this footage to share.

  1. God be with t he people of Lahaina. I pray they are able to rebuild to the old flavor of the Town without being swallowed up by Sharks who steal the land from victims in these locations

  2. Thank you for posting this video, showing Lahaina in its glory. A beautiful tribute.
It is awful beyond words what happened to this beautiful town and its vibrant community. I can only hope that the survivors will somehow recover from this tragic loss.

  3. I visited Maui and Lahaina in July with my daughter. We are still shocked and devastated about what happened just shortly afrter we left. 5. blackrock and vanguard wanted that land. the chief of police is also the coroner. another fire going on. the governor passed a law saying Lahaina isn't a historical district before the fire. when rebuilding. saludos desde latino America. what corruption with these authorities

  6. Beautiful video! Been going to Maui since 2013 almost every year. Got to spend and entire month there in 2021, and was fortunate enough to get to spend 2 halloweens there on Front street! My son has grown up going there and we have so many memories there in Lahaina. It's still hard to process the loss that has occurred, I was in tears when I saw the first video coming out about the fires. The loss of life and history is too much to process. I really hope the people can heal and those that lost get to keep their land! Maui no ka oi!

  7. I have Family and Friends in this part of Maui and across the Island. This really breaks me down that this happened to this beautiful Town that I know and Love so dearly. Having went through a Wildfire just like this, my heart breaks with you all 😩💔

  8. I feel sorry for your little nervous dog … that ride must have been terrifying. Next time you might leave her at home or put a towel in the basket at the very least. Yikes.

  11. how many more of these irreplacable gems of history are they going to destroy in the name of their god of 'progress' to sacrifice to the developers for what? money? how sad that these progressives can see no further forward than a few more bucks in their wallet. These creatures are committing crimes against humanity and are getting away with it because of apathy amongst the people and having the 'politicians' in their pocket.

  12. There is one big "cover up " that no one is catching . The cause of these catastrphic fires is Teslas and EV cars …droughts and small grass fires are normal …these wipe outs are due to EV batteries …it takes 12,000 gallons of water to put out one EV car fire …the average fire truck has 500 gallons of water on board …it would take 24 fire trucks filled with 500 plus gallons of water to put out one EV fire …when winds are blowing and small fires are going in multiple places these EV's go up in flames and burn at 6000 degrees …fires spread uncontrollably …and take whole towns with them …California and Hawii both went up in catastrophic fires …both states have the highest EV percentage in the world …the issue is related to EV's …brush fires and droughts are normal …catastrophic fires are not and have only become this way in places where EVs are in high use …in the Paris Agreement locations …the push to bring EV's to market without taking into consideration the danger they pose to this planet and the people on it when the batteries are overheated overcharged due to ac usage and battery drain and when near brush fires is the cause of these catastrophic fires .

  13. I was in the Navy stationed in Pearl and our ship took a 3 day R&R in Lahaina in 1971. I don't think this is what I remember. Wow.

  14. its still hard to believe what happened to this town, you guys made Maui such a wonderful place to visit. To the ones in Lahaina, may God bless you all and that you have as much support needed to heal during these times.
