Hakodate Morning Market Square 🌊🦑💙 Hakodate, Hokkaido Japan

Continuing my travels in Northern Japan and today I’m in Hakodate! ✨ It’s my first time in Hokkaido ☺️ You may already know Hokkaido for its milk and seafood 😋🐮🦀 And in Hakodate there’s the Hakodate Morning Market Square 🤩

The market is filled with so much stunning squid, crab, fish, scallop, and more 🥰🦑🐟🐚 It’s a seafood lover’s dream! 🤭 You can pick up fresh seafood but also dried and preserved goods that you can take home to enjoy later ☺️

Don’t forget to also get a どんぶり, or “don buri” (seafood rice bowl)! ✌️ There is a food hall filled with different donburi restaurants. They all look so good! 😆 Donburi is a rice bowl with sashimi and other seafood pieces on top. I love scallop and shrimp and this donburi was so tasty 😋💕
