My viewers told me Ipoh, Malaysia’s chicken rice is really delicious. I live in Singapore, the country of Chicken Rice, so I wanted to try it out and see how it compares. I tried many other delicacies and local food of Ipoh. I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Singapore food is better cos probably cooked by a malaysian. If the food sucks, its probably cooked by a chinese national

  2. Of course chicken rice in Malaysia is better than Singapore, The first thing first chicken in Singapore ain't fresh, the meat is mushy, the bones are red indicating the chicken is frozen for a very long time. Malaysia has kampung chicken while Singapore mostly all injection chicken

  3. I dont go to those places when I return to Ipoh. Too much crowd, expensive and taste not much better than alternative. Anyway why eat chicken rice at Lo Wong? Suppose to be famous for chicken kuey teow soup.

  4. You can't claim something is Singapore's without Malaysians disputing it and claim it is their's. Including jobs.😂

  5. I find Ipoh chicken meat too dry and not tender. Prefer SG version. same goes to chilli.
But the bean sprout, ipoh wins hands down, street ahead!
if you noticed it is fatter and juicier~ u will nvr get that in singapore, never!

  6. In terms of tenderness, ipoh is using free range Kampung Chickens. Not sure how that fares with Singaporeans, but some of the better chicken rice here uses slightlt chewier but more flavourful kamping chicken. Kampunf chicken is actually more difficult to cook as well due to drier texture.

  7. True. Went to all the famous rated places. Overpriced and not that great. Tourist traps. Heard same thing from locals too.😮

  8. honestly, i m truly worry for you. any comments from you, u either end up not able to leave malaysia or you are barred from singapore. i truly admire your courage. enjoy yourself. 😅😅😅

  9. I remember taking d speciality Koay Teow Thng n Satay some 50 yrs ago. Me fr Penang. Long time ago, heh

  10. The only flaw in this video is you order rice instead of kway teow soup which might blow you away with those silky texture and sweet soup. If you doing a second ipoh V2, can try breakfast of dry curry noodle which is heavily contested among locals. I am very surprised you managed to go to the third one for dinner which is kind of hidden even in city area. >.> you made me wanna go back Ipoh so much….

  11. If you haven't tried it yet, you can order beancurd with ginger syrup. You might like it more than the regular sugar syrup. Not all stores have them though, you have to ask them.

  12. You have to go with the HofFun but not the rice.
For the TouFuFah, you gonna visit another one namely 'Woong Kee Beancurd (Ipoh Town Branch) 旺记祖传豆腐花', that's way better and not so commercialize, it's jz like 1km away from where you were.
Happy to see you visit to Ipoh y beloved hometown.

  13. Tried d popular chicken rice in Malaysia = CMi. Malaysian Dim sum oso CMi unless it’s HK styled
