  1. btw is not a green bean porridge. its monk bean porridge. In US we call it monk bean.. they use monk bean, pandan leaf, black sticky rice, coconut milk, and palm sugar. many times we eat it with sliced of bread.

  2. the porridge in english is actually MUNG BEAN not GREEN BEAN… we're indonesian call it GREEN bean because of its color.

    it's very easy to make.. boil the mung bean then add sugar or palm sugar with a bit of fresh ginger.. boil coconut milk and add a pinch of salt…
    you can add black sticky porridge which can be made in the same way like the mung bean porridge.. or you can even enjoy it with plain bread.

  4. Gambang bread is traditional javanese bread.made with assortment additional spices like cinnamon, palm sugar. topping with sesame seed.

  6. lontong is compressed rice cake covered by banana leaf or young coconut leaf. another version named is kupat or katupat.👍

    1. Nasi Goreng (“fried rice“) made with kecap manis, shrimp paste, garlic, shallots, tamarind, and chil
    2.1 Sate Ayam (chicken) seasoned, skewered, and grilled chicken meat served with a sauce. Best is Madura variation
    2.2. Sate Padang is a beef satay served with a thick yellow-brown sauce1
    3. Ayam Goreng (fried/grilled chicken) isrubbed in a spice mixture made from a multitude of ingredients like garlic, shallots, turmeric, lemongrass, bay leaves, and galangal before being deep-fried. Ayam goreng Menado (north sulawesi island town) was once named as best ever fried chicken by top world chefs many years ago.
    4. Gado-Gadosalad made with slightly boiled, blanched, or steamed vegetables served with a peanut sauce dressing and with hard-boiled eggs, potatoes, bean sprouts, tofu, tempeh (cooked fermented soybean caklet) and krupuk ( cracker made from starch or animal skin)
    5.1 Soto soups made with meat and vegetables, each region with own variation
    5.2 Sop buntut is a delicious and hearty oxtail soup
    6. Rujak is a traditional Javanese fruit and vegetable salad dish y made with sliced fresh fruits and vegetables served with a spicy sugar palm dressing. Rujak tastes tangy, sweet, and spicy thanks to the dressing made from ground chilli, palm sugar, shrimp paste, and peanuts.
    7. Rendang, a meat dish made with beef or others which is slow-cooked for several hours in coconut milk and spices until it becomes tender.
    8. Bakso – Indonesian springier meatball made from finely ground beef mixed with a small amount of tapioca flour and salt.
    9. Siomay fish dumplings served with a peanut sauce, a derivative of Chinese shumai
    10. Tumpeng is a Javanese cone-shaped rice dish served with a multitude of sides on a banana-leaf

  13. Tauge goreng makanan tradisional khas Bogor. Bumbu utama nya adalah olahan Tauco. Kupat/lontong, Tauge, Mie kuning khas Bogor, Oncom.

    I live in Bogor until 23 years old, and now i live in Pontianak, Kalimantan barat (West Borneo). Botanical garden is very beautiful and famous in Bogor.
    Bogor palace is very good too..
    My Grandma is very like Toge goreng too.

  17. Lontong is wraped with banana leaf and steamed with water , ketupat is wraped with coconut leaf and steamed with coconut water.
