I did not know that the green car has a seat heater!!! I prefer to travel by train, but with the Japan Rail Pass getting very expensive soon, I may start taking flights instead if they are a lot cheaper.
Did you hear that JR Central is removing in-train food/drink sales unless you're in the green car? Getting ice cream on the shinkansen is a tradition I want to continue next time I'm in Japan so I hope they change their mind (or I buy green car tickets ww)
