  1. The crew of the 747 redeemed themselves by taking the action to avoid what was an envitable collision and the deadliest air disaster ever.

  2. Had I been on one of those planes, I'd think about it every single day for the rest of my life and be so thankful for the pilot's fast thinking. This is incredible and we all know how badly it could have ended.

  3. Even Japanese investigator had remind ICAO that every pilot should follow the TCAS's direction
    but Überlingen mid-air still happened

  4. I am surprised about how only about 3% of comments mention about this. In this animation both plane faced each other at 180 degrees angle, whereas in real life they both faced each other at about 90 degrees angle. Seems like almost no one notice a huge mistake in this animation.

  5. after that, it was clear that pilots should follow tcas, but uberlingen crash still happened

  6. If they ended up colliding JAL would end up holding the record for most deadliest aviation incident involving one plane and deadliest aviation incident ever at that point they would need to shut down

  7. if this wasnt for a single warning then the death would be 677 in total passing after klm and pam am collision on runway the deaths is 583 or 582

  8. imagine if two 747's have full passengers then collided the death toll wouldnt have been 1048

  9. Me in b747 300: omg is a fat bird😮 the guy in the md 11:look window the pilot: omg is a full tall plane nose is bigger than my head😮
