Welcome to another Kyoto experience 🙂
This day felt a lot more chilled compared to all the other days we’ve spent in Japan up till then, we definitely needed a more restful day so this was perfect.
It was so fun walking through the LONG Nishiki Market (it took us a while to find it, thanks google maps..). This is such a great place for foodies, especially sea food lovers! You can also find a lot of unique souvenirs here so definitely stop by when in Kyoto. The mochi strawberry desert was actually us trying mochi for the first time EVER and I’m so glad we tried it FIRST in Japan 🙂
We couldn’t visit Kyoto without visiting the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove of course, it was so wholesome and I didn’t even realise that there was so much more to do and see around that scenic area, wish we had more time to spend there. The scenery was so beautiful! I’m sooooo happy we were able to find personalised chopsticks as well.
The vintage shopping street I was referring to in the further part of the vlog (where we got lost in Osaka *ooops*) was a Orange Street, which you can read more about here: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g298566-d1407303-Reviews-Orange_Street-Osaka_Osaka_Prefecture_Kinki.html – but in summary, this is a great place to shop vintage designer goods & I actually purchased a bag there in a future vlog (stay tuned).
Hope you enjoy the Japan content as much as I enjoyed exploring these fun & beautiful places.
