  1. Not a new ship, but I book a 10 night Alaskan Cruise. Solo, aft balcony cabin with princess plus (drink plan wi-fi and gratuities) and $200 OBC for $2,200. Could have book inside without princess plus for $950 + gratuities.

  2. I love the comparison you did here with some solid research. It seems like it pays to be flexible on your cruise brands and the timing of your cruise plans as well, if possible. People with school age children can't always cruise when it's less expensive, but even within those parameters, there can be a wide range of prices. We're lucky to be flexible on when to cruise, and we can get to New Jersey and New York within a few hours' driving, which saves on those outrageous airfares!

  3. Thank you! Very helpful..NCL platinum cruiser looking for alternatives based on all of the changes at NCL recently…so thank you. You broadened my perspective with this video!

  4. You are forgetting about the added expenses such as port charges, cancellation insurance and taxes.🤔😮 Living in Iowa means flying to port of call which ends up costing as much as cruise. Plus you must book a hotel the day before cruise to be sure not to miss ship. In March a hotel In Miami will cost about $300.00 a night with all taxes included.😮

  5. I forgot about Gratuities unless you are planning on stiffing the cruise staff😮You are out of touch thinking you will not buy drinking packages, your Wi fi,ship excursions and buying in gift shops.🤔 You guys must have more than travel agent wages to cruise as much as you do.🤔 Guaranteed 😯

  6. The Azamara cruise to France went down again – to now approximately $6000 for 2 and we got $800 OBC. Wow. Hope you don't mind us relating this info.

  7. Holland America line has been my favorite for years now. I sailed on the Nieuw Statendam 3 times last year(42 days in total) one of them a b2b. Going back on board for 36 days in April. I get great pricing through casino rates, although regular rates have gone way up.

  8. Isn't end of February kind of bumping into Spring Break pricing… at least adjacent. The cheapest pricing for cruises would be Jan-end Feb, bits of April and May, and Sept-early Dec, minus holidays. The easier way to guesstimate when the cheapest prices are, is: When most kids are in school, prices are cheaper. When it's summer or holidays, pricing goes up 2-3x.

  9. I love this but I'm clostrophobic I need at least a obstructed Oceanview. However I will call you guys in the future and see what you can do. I don't drink alcohol so that saves.

  10. Thx for this. Yes the Caribbean cruises are usually cheaper than anywhere else as there is so much competition there. But when comparing for any other itinerary, one usually has to pay more. I have to book early as the airfare increases the close one gets to departure date. I do always find Carnival and RCI cheaper than Celebrity, but I still won’t go on those cheaper brands. Plus RCI and Carnival seem not to do the itineraries that I want. Even though you may live in Florida, surely you don’t want to keep on going on the same itineraries in the Caribbean all the time. Most of the islands are all similar anyway. We prefer cooler climate cruises. Thx and stay well.

  11. We always cruise on a budget. Always an interior room. Id' rather go on more cruises and on a budget and get more nights on a ship, over save up and spend all my money on just one sailing and only get 7 nights. Many ways to save money!

  12. We just bought an inside room on Scarlet Lady… because as a travel agent.. I also travel with no frills, just to see what the experience on the ship is like. Many people are frustrated with the pricing of Royal and Carnival…so I get asked about Virgin a lot. $1794 for both us total. But aS you know, everything is included but the alcohol… and they gave us a $300 bar tab to boot for the current special. I think all of the lines have at least one of their ships on lower rates at any given time. People call me and ask all the time what is cheap right now. Great video… everyone should experiment 😊

  13. Do these prices include the gratuities? And unfortunately it doesn't include the cost to fly to Florida. There isn't as much competition going out Galveston which we can drive to, so can't get those cheep prices.

  14. Sometimes you have to book far in advanced and in off seasons. If you book with Carnival, always keep a close eye on VFIP deals and book ASAP. My two Carnival Panorama and Carnival Vista trips were $650-$690 including taxes and port fees for seven nights in interiors as a solo cruiser. My upcoming solo B2B on Carnival Celebration for a total of 14 nights in a balcony: $2700 including taxes and port fees. I did book five months in advance for my Vista class cruises, and my B2B is next year though.

  15. I was just talking about this exact thing at lunch today. This lady was like: "cruising is for millionaires" and I go no…. if you are willing to go on a inside cabin you can go with very cheap.

  16. #Replay Thank you for ALWAYS clearing any rumors that are thrown out there and keeping us all informed with accurate information. Love ya guys 💙

  17. Also ask what port are each of these cruises sailing out of? Have to factor in airfare to determine the price? Last minute airfare can be very expensive? Itinerary makes a difference. Are taxes, port fees, included in these prices? Sounds like best deal are last minute deals?

  18. I love our travel agent! My sister has been a customer for years. Our agent saved us money from us self booking. I also like knowing I have someone working on our behalf for any concerns.

  19. Great video. I've just recently started doing this. Currently I've been comparing RCL Oasis class ships and Carnivals Mardi Gras & Celebration ships.

  20. We used a travel agent for my wife and I for our anniversary cruise in October and we were able to get it for less ourselves. Thank you for this video.

  21. I’m with you on the cruise only rate! I want to cruise often! I am a HAL fan and take advantage of the free interior stateroom offers…no drink package(never a benefit for me) and it’s amazing how often you can go when you realize you can have a fantastic experience and service no matter where you are on the ship and being willing to be open to the possibility the cabin may not be your optimal choice but it many times can be just fine! I will take the gamble! The pinnacle class ships are beautiful and we’ve been on new Statendam and Koningsdam. Great ships! Thanks for your video! 🎉cheers

  22. I found one a couple of weeks ago on Cunard that's a 28 day Japan to Alaska, for a deluxe inside cabin w/port fees and taxes and the solo supplement $2344.

  23. Hey guys, great comparisons. Thanks so much for all the info. Can you tell everyone where to find the port fees for the Caribbean ports? Also what is the tax rate for cruising. I wish the quoted prices would include the taxes and port charges. That way we could really compare apples to apples. Thanks for being so honest.
