Welcome to the second episode in my thrilling series, the “Japanese Convenience Store Breakfast Challenge”! 🥳🇯🇵
For today’s adventure, we dive into the diverse world of breakfast offerings at Lawson – one of Japan’s largest and most beloved convenience store chains. The series aims to compare the breakfast options at Lawson, 7-Eleven, and Family Mart, which rule the roost when it comes to convenience store food in Japan.
Join me on this delicious journey as I take you through the aisles of Lawson early in the morning, grabbing all the unique breakfast options that catch my eye. I give the eccentric Spam, egg, and tuna-mayo onigiri a try, and I don’t stop there. I also indulge my sweet tooth with a fascinatingly decadent cheesecake sandwich! 🍙🍰
From the savory to the sweet, and from the familiar to the utterly unique, Lawson’s breakfast selection never ceases to amaze. But how does it stack up against 7-Eleven and Family Mart? Stay tuned to find out!
Next up will be the thrilling conclusion: “Japanese Convenience Store Breakfast Challenge – Part 3: Family Mart”. Subscribe and hit that notification bell so you don’t miss out on my next convenience store conquest! 🔔

The thoughtful packaging is always fun to see. No getting your fingers dirty eating that lemon chicken👍😊
I haven't been to Japan since I was a kid, but there was a 711 near base that we would all go to. Planning our Japan trip now. 🙂
HELLO MY FRIEND, JASON! HOW ARE YOU? I WAS SO SAD THAT THE PEACH SODA WASN'T RANKED ON YOUR LIST! THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MY "ICHIBAN" CHOICE! THE STRAWBERRY TREAT SOUNDED GREAT UNTIL I HEARD "MARSHMALLOW." I DON'T LIKE FOODS THAT ARE SWEET "FIGHTERS" OR "BACK BITERS" IF YOU CATCH MY DRIFT. MARSHMALLOWS THAT ARE MELTED ARE A LITTLE DIFFERENT. MY CONVIENCE STORE EXPERIENCE IN JAPAN WAS EXTREMELY PLEASANT. I DON'T RECALL THE NAME. THERE WAS A MICROWAVE AND EVERYTHING WAS FRESH AND NOTHING WAS DIRTY AND ALL TASTED VERY GOOD. NOTHING CRUMMY. IT COULD HAVE BEEN LAWSONS. THE NAME SOUNDS FAMILIAR. ❤❤❤. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT REVIEW. THEY ARE ALL AWESOME! ❤❤❤. HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOON! 👍🌸
Ohh Lawson, I know they have several stores in Philippines. Sounds like I need to try that onigiri and lemon flavored chicken ❤ the peach soda got the fireworks so I gotta try it too 😍
But…but crusts are the best part! Not on soft bread sandwiches though (but crusty Italian loafs mmm…). Nobody does peach flavor like the Japanese. It's so real. It makes me wonder if their peaches taste extra peachy haha.
A very epic breakfast! Konbini sandwiches are always good when you're on the go —though recently I've discovered this bacon topped bread from 711 that I have grabbed for breakfast.
