In our final days in Kyoto, we first took a trip over to the must-see, world-famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. The rain certainly may have dampened some of our spirits, but we are still glad to have checked out this area. Be prepared though, because it can be super packed! There’s also a great food scene there as well as the Monkey Park for you to check out.
The following day we made our way to Nishiki Market and had some great “street food” as we made our way all the way down and ended up at a small little sushi shop for lunch. Foodies will love Nishiki Market for all the delicious food. But be warned, it can be super packed and overwhelming. Make sure to bring enough cash with you!
That evening we made our way to Gion and managed to catch the sunset in this historic area of the city. Of course we had some more snacks there and wandered through a few of the shops, visited some temples and ended at Maruyama Park.
