PEAK DISTRICT.. Best wild camping uk! Mam Tor, Bamford edge, Bakewell. VANLIFE UK

We have had such a great time in our self converted campervan exploring the amazing peak district. The UK has some great scenery and there is plenty of that in this english national park.
Come with us as we explore what the peak district has to offer, including a visit to Bakewell and hikes up Birchen edge, Mam Tor and Bamford edge. We also find a little place so beautiful that it rivals many of the global spots we have been to already.
Vanlife Europe may seem a long way off but maybe vanlife UK has a lot more to offer than we think! Our van build is becoming more and more worth all the work everytime we get to go out in it.
Thank you all for watching and if you want to see more of our adventures please hit that subscribe button, we do really appreciate it.

  1. Nice volg!
I have a laugh how you make Jokes to each other🤣 greetings from the Netherlands🇳🇱

  2. Hi! Just stumbled across you guys, really enjoying the videos! Can I ask, what type of harness do you have for your boy please? Been looking for something just like it. Cheers!

  3. Awesome video girls majestic and truly amazing video always a joy to watch you both hows your van holding up takecare safe travels keep those kool videos coming 🙏👌🍻⛰️🎊🍀

  4. Really enjoyed the video. We lived in Bamford for 2 years and would go back tomorrow if we could. The scenery is absolutely amazing but don't tell too many people about it.

  5. Your videos are great. I really enjoy seeing other parts of the world, I live in Florida, USA. What country do you live in, it is beautiful.

  6. As Haze Outdoor would say, leave no trace, I wonder how people would feel if people threw rubbish and litter into there gardens 🤔🙄

  7. Do you have the campsite names, before I rewatch later on. Ta. I watched before when it came out but didn't take any notice .

  8. I agree there is no need to leave a place like that. I hate when people don't take rubbish home with them. "take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints" (or tire tracks… lol) I also love the music you pick for your vids.

  9. Thanks for the vlog. Isn‘t it a bit mean complaining about Lou being so slow carrying up all the Camera gear, while Em is being pulled uphill by AJ 😎😂

  10. You guys are like a breath of fresh air, so good together, and remind me so much of my daughter and her girlfriend / partner. Keep the vids coming, such fun to watch. LOVE the van too .

  11. I live about thirty minutes away. Love bakewell. Can get a bus from mine to the cake shop. Yum That Brook runs all the way to the back of my flat and little forest, blessed. Have you tried Matlock and Hathersage? m. Not been for months due to self isolation so it was lovely to see the scenery. Cheers.

  12. i agree on rubbish but here it's stuff blown off the last binmen collection (polystyrene blocks) or road users… water, fruit, beer containers… they should take it home ……… and dispose because the French system for decheterie is excellent.
I must remember to carry a collection bag… but he ruibbish here on the road verges is nothing like I once saw on the uk roads and verges between Dover and London…. Bises… Love your vlogs… xxx

  13. We gave people access to the woodland here during lockdown and they treated it exactly the same, we had to go out daily and pick up all the rubbish. When the wild campers are in there is very rarely any rubbish, left , so I just don’t understand why?

  14. Hey Louise and Emily, I found your YouTube because I'm doing my own van build, not as fancy as yours but 'Dennis' is making progress! I've literally watched nearly all of your videos and I've been too lazy to comment previously (sorry), but I feel after watching this video it's time for me to comment to say a couple of things. Thanks for all the awesome Van Build videos, I've found them so handy, I'm still framing mine out at the moment but I keep watching your videos for inspiration! Also, I'm loving your other YouTube videos, you seem look a lovely couple and it warms my hear to see you both together on your adventures. I actually live in Nottingham and I run a Peak District website with walks so it was lovely to see you sharing the beautiful spots. If you're planning a visit again then feel free to get in touch and I can share a few awesome places to hike. PS You can get up to Birchen Edge, it's a short steep hike but kids do it so I reckon you'd all be fine (yes, even you Emily). Anyway, I'll try to comment on more videos, but at the moment I'm so exhausted from van build versus life, I'm doing solo so it's tough at times but I love it. Take care and happy camping, from Becky 🙂

  15. The rubbish annoys the hell out of me folks are always on about climate change but they won’t change their mentality towards dumping anywhere and everywhere.

  16. great well structured video, up here we call it gods country on the yorkshire side, t'other side is just lancashire, no east and west. the litter is terrible, try Padley gorge just outside sheffield plenty to see up there

  17. Hey love your vids. Lived in Derbyshire for many years, haven't climbed Mam Tor but have done many walks around Castleton and the caves.

  18. Cant understand it either How ppl just drop their crap wrappers etc ??? Mind you Dont like the way this Worlds going in Lots of ways o f c Love your videos o f c Ps Reason Emily goes up Hills Faaaster is obvious ???? Shes much shorter Than you ? SO ? Less Wind resistance ? YEAH Love U 2 XX

  19. You were about a 5 minute drive to Kinder Scout/Jacobs ladder from Mam Tor. You need to go there!!! (Bowden Bridge car park…..that's a tip, ladies!)

  20. Trully dose look beautiful i used to play in a forest in my younger years with a running stream my cuz would drag me through it by my legs we would always have so much fun this brought back my younger yrs for sure i do miss them days sadly his passed away now and i use a wheelchair for best parts so not be reliving them days but the thought of just sitting by the water in the forest sounds perfect looks like AJ was enjoying his self to what beautiful shots of the places great team work ☺☺💖💖💖

  21. Another great vlog but isn’t using a hand to transition on the 2 minute tour cheating Emily?🤔🤣

  22. The "south peaks" are called the "White peak" ( limestone). The Northern bit is called the "Dark peak" ( gritstone) . Sounds pedantic, i know, but i once was lambasted by a fellow "walker" for not knowing the difference. I'll never forget that twat. ( Never walk with an organised group; In my experience anyway.} Love you two, because ya do'nt talk bollocks. P.s. That area around the "snake pass" is all man made. ( to supply CLEAN water to Sheffield, N Notts, etc.) The deaths in that area , from drinking "manky water" were huge.( wo'nt mention the air pollution, which was also a big conributer to the fatality count. The best bit, all the "moneyed men" who caused all the malaise did'nt live there.)

  23. Pisses us off too, the rubbish!!! Like when you got to the beach in summer, you can see all the idiots with tents, bbq's, food, fires, beers, you know it's all going to be left behind & 9 times outta 10, it is! Honestly, some people…..you brought it with you, take the f**ker with you!!!

  24. Living at the edge, not a good idea. Check the statistics on how many people have fallen over the edge while taking selfies. We want to see lots more videos from the both of you. A slippery rock, a gust of wind is all it takes and you are YouTube history. So please don't give us heart attacks, we love you too much.

  25. Mum enjoyed this one. We have done a big rewind to the first trips and this is a site we stayed at last year! That last site had a really friendly site cat as well 😁

  26. Decided to watch a few old vlogs. Even though im a Yorkshireman The peaks do it for me, there are some stunning spots besides the better known bits. A but further up snake pass over on the moors to the north is a WW2 bomber that crash landed there, not much left of it but its interesting anyway. Just outside Bakewell on the A6 is the picture postcard village of Ashford in the Water, blink and you miss it. Monsal head is an outstanding walk and views. You would think I work for Derbyshire tourist board.. My only gripe is there are not enough charity shops in Bakewell…. yes im taking the piss.
