I visited Yamanashi and Nagano prefectures on the last day of my Seishun 18 Ticket in September 2016. It was a very nice trip. The line is not electric, and actually uses a “hybrid” engine. Apparently it was the first hybrid train to be used in the world. The weather threatened thunderstorms all day, but I lucked out with sun and I think this time-lapse turned out pretty nice.
