This town, Sakawa, is in the central part of Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
As it was a base of education where the school for samurai children was established, many people who made great contributions in the field of politics and academics were born.
It is also a place where sake brewing has flourished since old times.
“Sake Brewery Road”, where old residences and warehouses of sake breweries with nearly 300 years of tradition remain, is one of the sightseeing spots.
