  1. Love to check out that new beautiful Kabukicho Tower there in Japan next year! Looks amazing & Cheers for sharing these new Japan travels here Amy!

  2. Singapore has 2 casinos, we can always travel across the border to Malaysia to avoid the restrictions on Singaporeans entering the casinos here. Japanese could probably be doing the same thing travelling to Macao and Thailand when they start in Thailand.

  3. I'm really glad the arcade scene is still going strong, even if it's changed a little. One of the main things I miss is going to the arcades at night, when I used to smoke it was a place I could go to smoke, but even when I quit I still loved the arcades….I even have some ambient sounds I recorded to play when I have a game night, playing old skool fighting games.

So to stop people spending too much in casinos, they are charging a tax to go to casinos……Hmm seems like a typical gvmt solution lol.

Great video Amy, keep 'em coming :):)

  4. Fantastic update Amy! thanks so much. I have friends who are planning to to travel to Japan in June. I am going to show them your vlog over dinner and make some plans accordingly! Please stay safe and healthy! thanks again!

  5. Will be back in Japan in June and check out some new places. 🙃 The Tokyo Revengers Collab at Raku Spa looks great, but the food is related to character shown named Seishu Inui or "Inupi". Maybe thats why it translates so weird 😄

  6. I'm going to see Band-Maid in concert on July 3rd at Zepp Shinjuku at the Kabukicho Tower.
I'm quite excited and I guess I'll have to spend some extra time in the tower now 😊

  7. good to know sega 4 building survives as an arcade, glad they kept the hamster tubes on the business beside it. got to ride the escalators last november.

  8. The Rainbowholic cafe is so nice! I went there when I was in Tokyo in april, and I wanna go back so bad hehe. There was original stationary for sale there, made by Kaila and her team, as well as stationary from other artists!💜 I ended up spending more than 3 hours there journaling & just enjoying the atmosphere💜💜💜 Definitively worth a visit!

  9. Ahhhhhhh, that new Ghibli exhibition looks amazing ….. I feel so poor right now! heh. Don't suppose they plan for it to run for another 4 years so I can save up? 😉

  10. Thank you for the update! Kabukicho Tower looks so pretty from pictures but we wont prioritize it. We’ll only stay in Tokyo for 4 nights and we’d rather try more of the authentic things. But will see how others feel about it or just take some pictures inside

  11. after 6 months, ill be back there in 2 weeks for 5 days (work trip). im re watching your videos to remind myself how to get by again

  12. I'm in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Japan late next year. I've been trying to save up money to go to Japan for the last 20 years, but each time real life was always gotten in the way. This time I determined to go no matter what. I could use some financial help getting it together though. IF anyone is willing to donate just hit my up with a PM.

  13. Wow, I've been researching like crazy for our trip and didn't come across any of these pop ups! I mean, they're almost all gone by the time we go, but will subscribe to both get itinerary ideas closer to our travels in August, and then keep watching to cry about what we miss out on 😂

  14. I'm very interested in the Ghibli exibition you showed, so I went to the website to see about tickets today… went through the whole application process (with help lol), got booked for Lawson ticket collection and… it told me I have to pick the tickets up in a couple days from now! (going in September, so I wanted to be prepared!) 🥲 So just a bit of heads up for anyone else trying to book it, unless I'm missing something?? If anyone knows a way to book this further in advance I'd really appreciate it, we're only in japan from the 19th Sept so it doesn't leave much time to book it when we're there!

Is it normal to have bookings like this, where you need to go collect the tickets a few days after booking them? Very new to this!

(side note, I love these videos, love to find out about exhibitions and event stuff going on 🥰)

  15. Thank you very much for interesting information in your videos. You mentioned about airplanes decorated with cartoon characters and I like to add Finnair, as they have decorated two A350 planes with Momin characters that are popular in Japan. I saw information that A350 OH-LWO is currently flying on Tokyo and Los Angeles routes from Helsinki.

  16. we need a video of how to send packages from japan to your native country's…souvenirs, clothes, etc. thank you cakes😅

  17. Do you know if the onsens you mention are tattoo friendly or not? That would be super helpful info to add any time you mention an onsen. I know most of them have private onsen that allow tattoos but most of them won’t allow tattoos in the public area and it can be hard to try and find out beforehand.

  18. Thank you for mentioning the Namco that's taken over the Sega Arcade in Akihariba, I'm writing a book atm and it's based in the Gigo Store next book (the shut down one) and I thought this arcade had turned into another Gigo. I will now go back and change that! Better now than later!
