So we’ve heard that Forest City located in Johor Bahru (near Tuas second link if going in from Singapore) is a 100 billion abandoned city.

Our curiosity took us there and we spent 2 days 1 night in their supposed “5 stars” hotel.

Watch the video to find out if it’s genuinely deserted.

  1. I don't know was there a sufficient feasibility study before being built? It looked great, grand and futuristic when I was living in JB in 1996-1999 and regularly visited FC for recreation.

  2. Glad the place is abandoned
Is the place for chinese from china slowly tasking over the malay land blessed by some corrupt elitis

  3. Have you encountered any strange things in the hotel? like something hovering in the air

  4. 30 years ago one of my company Japanese engineer said that banking system and property agents/developers can ruin a country economy. Now I can see one of them.

  5. No buyer or because most of the buyer are from China. Just like in China they just buy second third forth or even fifth property but never stay in that property

  6. How much money under the table were made by those politicians?
Why macc never investigated this project ? Waiting for PM to say ?

  7. When was this video taken? I have a new tenant who has to move out from renting an apartment in Forest City and move into my house. The renting price already increases from RM800 to become RM1,200 per month after MCO. The tenant told me it is getting crowded and expensive in FC.
By the way, FC is not merely for tourist attraction. FC has two other purposes which not many common people can see: 1. generate income for the state compared to the barren sea shore, the owner still need to pay the land and quit rent even if they don't live there, 2. national defense from the south. With FC existence, it is harder for the southern countries to expand to the north. FC is purposely being developed by a China company so that the southern country cannot condemn the project.

  8. Hello, I'm from Germany and interested in buying Appartement. But I saw on other videos that there are many many Indian people is that true? Chinese and Malay people are good I like but Indians I don't like.

  9. It’s the election before the last that doomed this development.
Mahathir was playing on the fears and xenophobia of the Malays.
Vietnam is open to foreign investors and tourists, they are now higher in gdp than Malaysia.

  10. Beleive in "Fong Swee" or not. Naming a place for living is very important. Name it right, it flourishes, name it wrong and it becomes a ghost forest city.
