Jakarta. Indonesia. Considering it’s one of the world’s largest megacities, you don’t hear much about it. Fresh off the plane, having learned some Indonesian and read a bit of the country’s history, I decided to go out and get my first impressions of the place and make the BEST TRAVEL VLOG EVER of Jakarta.

Things went much better than I expected.

  10. 12:50 lmao typical westerner. bro lemme tell you something, Indonesia has a national motto of "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" which means "Unity in Diversity", despite being predominantly moslem population we dont declare our country as a moslem country cause we want to respect the other people with other religions. we had bleak past indeed but that was already the past. we have moved on and now, the condition is much more stable than your financial stability i suppose (lol jk) and we do respect the diversity of our people in all aspects (religion, ethnic, etc). and just so you know, Indonesia is a much safer country than the USA which recently has broken the new record of mass shootings that happens literally every single day (which some if not most of them are racially motivated). cheers! 🥂
