  1. Nice video, man! I'd taught in Japan near Himeji quite a while back. Those convenience stores and ice cream cones were great, especially in the summers.

  2. you need a bachelors degree in anything for this right? Can it be a 3 year general arts bachelors degree?

  3. I completed MA Mphil B. Ed in English Literature from Presidency College Chennai and Teacher Education University Chennai. How do I get an offer Teaching English??

  4. can I teach English in Japan if I am nonnative speaker? I have bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese.

  5. Interesting vid, in a month I'm going to be in osaka for teaching as well, good to have a look at it.

  6. Cool video
I had visited Osaka in December of last year. Best place i had ever been to in the world. For me as 43 years i have taught in china for 11 years. Any recommendations for me how to find a teaching job in Osaka ? The coronavirus is a global scare now but is there a chance for me to go work in Japan from China ?

  7. Do all companies pay for you furnishing or anything at all?and if so, what do they pay for or provide.

  8. your video is very informative.. i loveeverything you are talking about, i love your teeth.. hheehhe.. btw, im a new subscriber.. hehehehe

  9. Great Vid! I've been giving some thought recently to moving to Japan to teach English. I'm in a bit of a unique position however, and am curious as to your thoughts. I think I have some advantages that other interested people don't have, namely
    -I'm a Japanese citizen (I'm half Japanese, born/raised NYC)
-I have experience living abroad and interacting with students
-I speak (very colloquial, kinda childish) Japanese

Do you (or others) have any input or advice for me, given my situation? Would I have an easier time finding a teaching job, specifically in Osaka?
    Thanks!

  10. I am going to graduate as a history/social studies major and am also interested in teaching English in Japan. Is this possible or do I need to be an English major to teach in Japan?

  11. What's the minimum contract for teaching? (Let's say I find another job within a month of landing, am I tied to the job for a certain period before being able to leave?)

  12. Actually your vedio is perfect and I need to know what are the qualifications to be an English teacher in Japan as foreigner and how we apply for teaching in Japan

  13. i'm learning Japanese now so i can be prepared. Also, you may not know this but someone you know might. I have anxiety and take medication for it. How do I make sure my prescription transfers over there and I still take it?

  14. I get this two years later, eh? TESL degree in progress, but Japan is the goal. Sadly the college I'm attending doesn't offer Japanese, but it's my third college, and the other two did have Japanese. I know enough to finish becoming fluent, even if I were to move to Japan, but I would like to find formal classes and get some JLPTs under my belt.

  15. 4:11 Alec, you mentioned the pension, which you get to recover once you leave Japan. I was wondering, if one were to start dating a Japanese citizen, and at some point get married, thus qualifying for permanent residency… what becomes of that pension?
