The dynamism of the steam engine and rocket engine design is combined with the decorative expressions of the Meiji period as a motif of exuberance for a new journey.
The interior design combines mechanical beauty with fantasy by expressing a series of lighting poles and variable table supports as a pseudo-design of mechanical piping.
KUROFUNE
Car 1, “KUROFUNE,” was designed to resemble a steamship sailing across the ocean under an endless blue sky, while discussing “aspirations” for a new era with fellow passengers, and to evoke the art of the late 19th century, which sprouted from the period of civilization’s opening to the West.
SORAFUNE
Car 2 “SORAFUNE” is based on the concept of a “dream” for the future that extends beyond the sky to outer space beyond the atmosphere, and is inspired by the imaginary scientific spaceships depicted in retro science fiction novels.

今回も、前回に続きリッチ旅ですね。
そう言えば、最近の駅弁って”竹折”でなくて、殆どが”PP”の容器ですよね。
お茶も普通のペットで、キャップがコップ型のポリ容器で無いですよね。
固いレンガの様なアイスも、売ってますか？
冷凍みかんとかも。
僕もエエ歳になって、こんな事を視ながら思ってまいますね。
