Winter is still holding on strong as we take our van north through the USA, and ultimately to Alaska.
And if you can’t beat the snow, you might as well go naked forest bathing in it, right?! Join us for a week of van life as we cross the Sawtooth wilderness, put our new tyres to the test on treacherous mountain passes and come face to face with the largest mammal in America.

↠ A BIT ABOUT US
We’re Chesca and Ben, and with our two pups River & Scout (🐶 🐶 ) we live and travel full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. We spent the past 2 years road tripping as much of Europe as we could, from the wild coasts of Portugal to the Syrian border in Turkey, tackling lockdowns and a van re-build along the way. But now, we’re feeling like a new challenge. In the summer of 2022, we’ll be shipping our van from the UK to Canada, on a mission to drive her all the way to Argentina!

  1. Happy 2nd Birthday Scout❤🎉. Happy Easter ,your vlogs are so interesting, I feel like I'm right there on the journey, beautiful, even the snow. We are having a beautiful sunny Easter here in NS, 5°c. I hope the worst of winter is gone. Travel safe. ❤

  2. Ahh, familiar territory, good to see it again. Talking about skunks remeinded me of when my Montana neighbor's dog got skunked….oh the smell! I saw a lot of those critters on my street. I use to kayak on Flathead Lake, never saw the monster but I heard the tale of it. I love visiting that bison range when the moms are calving, the babies are so cute. Congrats Scout for turning 2 years old, you're such a love, such a sweet face.🎂🍗🎉Enjoy the winter wonderland as you continue north. Safe travels!

  3. I love that you are schooling this American in great routes and sights to see. The fact that you take the route less traveled inspires me!!!

  4. so many beautiful shots! love the drone shots and at the hot springs. ❤ so magical! Your dogs are so sweet and adorable. 😊

  5. They have what they call Buffalo jumps in Alberta, be careful on snow covered roads in Canada because I've noticed that many people continue to drive at full speed regardless of the road conditions

  6. Beautiful magical country and wild life. A great adventure! Bear safe and bare naked 😉 Those hot springs!!! Love that it is clothing optional. No doubt difficult to leave that spot. Happy Bday to Scout.

  7. Thanks for another video of your adventure. It is good that you are aware of the bears and take precautions. Bears come out of hibernation and their dens in the Spring and females will come out with their new cubs and can be very protective if they perceive any threat. Another predator to be aware of is the Mountain Lion which is active all year and can have kittens any time of the year. They are found in the mountains of the USA and Canada and other habitats as well, are secretive and seldom seen. Where tourists can get into trouble is by wearing ear buds while hiking or cross country skiing and not being aware of their surroundings. Oh, and as well as a bison/buffalo jump there is also a buffalo pound. Hopefully you will have good weather and smooth sailing but I guess it all adds to the adventure. Crack on!

  8. Don't tell them you have bear spray at the Canadian border, it's considered a weapon, but you can purchase more once you have crossed at places like Walmart or Canadian tire should you decide to throw it out before crossing, Okanagan lake has a huge serpent called ogopogo ,Google it

  9. Always original ✅ Leave warm Baja to get covered in snow. Then thaw out in amazing hot springs. Great content as always 🌝

  10. Happy Birthday Scout 🦴
He didn’t care for his hat😂
Gorgeous scenery, snow and wildlife. It IS a good thing that you purchased new TIRES 👍🏻 Have fun and be safe. I can’t wait until next week. Thanks for taking me along 🙂

  11. How cool it is that in your American adventures, there are so many diverse landscapes and diverse nature. Hot springs are a cool thing. Enjoy your travels. I've been wanting to ask for a long time, why do you use iphone phones, and Ben Samsung?

  12. This winter has been crazy for the mountain areas of Nor Cal, Nevada, Utah & Idaho! They do a really good job of keeping the major roads passable between storms, though.

Looks like you went through Twin Falls; I lived there a couple years as a boy. Glad to see you got yourselves some genuine Idaho PO-TA-TOES! 😂 They looked delicious! ❤️❤️😎👍xx

  13. Happy Birthday Scout!! 🐶🐕Wow, those hot springs are beautiful and the scenery … just wow. Another awesome show. Cheers! 🍻

  14. Happy birthday to Scout. The hot springs looked amazing. Chesca how do you cook the excellent meals in the van. 💕for River and Scout.

  15. Thanks for another awesome video. Those hotsprings look heavenly. I haven't been in one for many, many years. Bison are always a treat to see, they're so big! My daughter lives in northern Alberta and there's plenty there which is nice. Bison meat is common in Alberta and it's really good, much better than beef in my opinion. Safe travels. Hugs from Nova Scotia Canada. 💖

  16. Just FYI I don’t think you can bring pepper spray or bear spray in to Canada. Heads up but you can tell them and they will just take it if your up front about it

  17. When you went to the hot springs ( clothing optional) was that Bear or Bare spray you took 😂😂😂😂

  18. Mars on acid….? Haha tried it? Happy bday Scout! Hope all 4 of u have a great time back in Canada up to Alaska! ❤️🇨🇦🤓ottawa. PS been loving ur new hair

  19. I used to live in BC for a few years. Very excited for you to explore it. Also, Montana and Idaho are amazing, so underrated! Happy Easter to you both!

  20. Amazing!!! I am just loving following you guys on this adventure. I live in the Soutern Interior of BC, so I just have to say this even though you probably already knowwwwwwww….. all that long dry grass…. watch for ticks. They are OUT with a force right now!!! Can't wait until your next video 🙂

  21. As you drive in to Alberta, there’s a popular bison jump area called “Head Smashed In”. Worth a visit on your way up…

  22. Great cinematography! You guys should seriously consider compiling a documentary and make some moolah out of it🙂

  23. If you would have started heading north from California right now, it's it's 80s and 90s degrees in Las Vegas, and 70s and 80s are starting to move into Utah and Idaho, and even Montana's warming up. You should have waited an extra week or two before heading north.
