🎤 Narrative

Mount Fuji is a majestic peak that stands tall at 3,776 meters above sea level. It is the highest mountain in Japan and is located on the border between Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures. The mountain is considered sacred by the Japanese and has been a source of inspiration for poets, painters, and writers for centuries.

One of the best places to view Mount Fuji is from Oishi Park in Tokyo. Oishi Park is located on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi, one of the five lakes that surround Mount Fuji. The park offers a stunning view of the mountain, which is often shrouded in mist.

Visitors to Oishi Park can take a leisurely stroll along the lake shore or enjoy a picnic with friends and family. The park is also a popular spot for fishing, boating, and other water sports. During the summer months, the park is a favorite destination for fireworks displays, festivals, and other cultural events.

As the sun sets over Mount Fuji and the lake, the sky is painted in shades of orange, pink, and purple, creating a breathtaking view that leaves visitors in awe. For those who are lucky enough to witness the mountain at dawn, the sunrise over Mount Fuji is an unforgettable experience that captures the heart and soul.

Mount Fuji and Oishi Park are a testament to the natural beauty of Japan and a reminder of the country’s rich cultural heritage. They are a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Tokyo and seeking a connection with nature and the spirit of the land.

How to Get to Oishi Park
There are four ways to get to the park. Private car, bus, bike or walking. There are buses that go from the Kawaguchiko Train and Bus Station to Oishi park all day (check timetables at the bus station, they change depending on the season). Biking and walking are the most feasible options for visitors.

The journey time between Kawaguchiko Station and Oishi Park is around 27 min, cost vary depending on season and covers a distance of around 10 km. Operated by Fujikyuko bus, the Kawaguchiko Station to Oishi Park service departs from 河口湖駅 and arrives in Oishi Park. Accepts Suica PASMO or any visa card with PayWave Technology. Typically 405 services run weekly, although weekend and holiday schedules can vary so check in advance.
