Episode 878 | Filmed March 2023 | #Tokyo – Kuwazu, #Japan #train #cathotel #japanesecherryblossoms

We traveled on the beautiful #SaphirOdoriko train from Tokyo to Kuwazu to see the famous Japanese cherry blossoms freshly bloomed! It was our favorite train of the trip, and totally worth seeing the gorgeous blooms in real life! Then we decided to sleep at a cat hotel, which turned out to be a hilarious experience and way less romantic than expected haha. Hope you enjoy our last episode of this Japan series 🙂

Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted 😉

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time.

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer 🙂

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

  1. ❤So beautiful, scenic. Now tell me what are you two going to do when you've overexposed yourselves to adventure. You will be 35 and tried just about everything!! Ever want to dial it down just a bit. Anyhow, thanks for taking us along on your majestic journeys. Much love, well wishes and continued success.

  2. Absolutely hilarious! Not what I would imagine a cat hotel to be! Love to see you guys do a full Australian tour one day! Have to come see the Barossa Valley here in South Australia!

  3. Dear Kara and Nate video editors please stop over editing Kara's voice. I feel like you are editing out her genuine warmth. There have been no "what did she say?" moments in the video that were a thing in previous videos. A good, genuine thing. The way her voice is being edited in the last few videos is reading like she is a tiny bit jaded. I know you are trying to improve the video experience but please stop trying to improve Kara. Kara, as she is, is honestly enough. She is terrific. Her audio needs no fixing on a regular bases. Thank you for your time.

  4. Don’t let this experience dissuade you from ever getting a cat. Cats should not be this high maintenance. For them to pee or poo in a “no” spot is not the norm at all. Whether they’re stressed or whatever, something’s very wrong with them to behave like this.

  5. Just think… kids are a million times worse. It's also totally OK if you never plan on having kids.

  6. I have a cat and wouldnt do what you guys just did. 😂 ok i laughed out loud with Kara on the train when she said she like her food so mocho 😂😂

  7. Omg this was one of my favorite videos you guys made. I’m a crazy cat lady. I have 4. FYI, I don’t clean their butts when they poop. But they should have warned you that the cats are the boss. So yes. When you asked Ramen if he thought that spot on the bed was his, absolutely he did. In fact he didn’t think that, he KNEW that.😂

  8. kara and sushi were so cute together and i couldn’t stop laughing at ramen and nate! 😂😹😹

  9. The cherry blossoms are most definitely incredibly beautiful in Japan! BUT, you MUST go to DC during Cherry Blossom time. It is an experience you won't forget!

  10. If they had cats in the room they should be litter trained. This is gross. They are shitting everywhere . Disease city. Now I know how COVID happened

  11. I can’t tell if this was answered already in the comments, but in Japan a lot of places are still keeping the air dryers deactivated as part of an effort to reduce the spread of covid.

  12. Whole world is beautiful clean and developed except India and Pakistan 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  13. Pets are family! These kitties were the weird family you only see every once in a while but still love unconditionally! ❤😻❤
