Disney PLEASE bring back Mary poppins. She is such an iconic character from a legendary film. Epcot really deserves to have more attractions in the world showcase.
How very Disney to have a soft opening but still allow people to buy their way onto the ride and screw other guests out of having an opportunity.
I love that Tiffany has become an EPCOT staple. Shes the Diana of food and wine the peoples princess

I get that they don't take up much space, but my word, can we get something different? Please????
Im done with teacup/alien saucer type rides. If they could’ve managed some sort of impressive entry effect like the bowl in the movie that would’ve been one thing, but all that for a teacup ride would’ve been a letdown. A dark ride through artwork like that scene would’ve been really cool, and if you really wanted to go with the crockery theme you could even rip off the ride vehicles from the Beauty and the Beast ride, or at least slap them on a tracked dark ride.
No Offense to Emily Blunt, I honestly think that Mary Poppins is my favorite Disney Movie however I’m more of the Julie Andrews version. Regardless they both are talented and did a splendid job playing that character.
I love Mary Poppins and was excited to see a ride coming based on that movie. I was disappointed when it was canceled. Once I saw the ride's plans, I was more disappointed in the attempt, and now I am glad it was canceled. That story deserves a better ride than tea cups!
One thing EPCOT can do for a ride is go back to the River ride that was planned in the Germany pavilion. That could be a good Rapunzel ride with the lanterns.
A tea-cup ride??????? Lame, Disney. Just lame. Will not be missed.

The first time I am more interested in the queue than in the ride! By the way, at the initial plans for the Magic Kingdom in Florida, Disney was studying possibilities to create new dark rides for Fantasyland. The idea was not to just copy their californians counterparts. So Sleeping Beauty, The Sword in the Stone and (yes) Mary Poppins were to replace Snow White, Mr.Toad and Peter Pan’s rides in WDW. After Disney’s death in 1966, plans were simplified and the rides were never developed.
They should have kept the powerlimes and other exclusive treats to toontown only
Mary Poppins teacup ride? Where is the imagination? A carousel horse breaking free or jump into the chalk pictures have potential. But another tea cup ride. So disappointing
Carousel horse ride through the fantasy landscape would be cooler for sure. Also teacup type rides are done in every fair and it is already done at Disney.
Absolutely everyone agrees that a Mary Poppins ride should be a dark ride where guests ride carousel horses. Most of those same people agree that it should be like Peter Pan, where the horses are suspended from the ceiling, so that the horses start on a carousel but can leave it (like in the movie). A teacup spinner ride should never have even been in consideration.
We need more unique attractions!
I would be totally okay with the construction of Cherry Tree Lane facades at the UK pavilion, so at least there is a permanent place to meet-and-greet Mary Poppins and Bert. At the same time, I would rather they don't do anything with the Mary Poppins attraction until they are willing to do it correctly.
Teacups…meh. But a ride where you board a. Carousel then break away and into scenes from the original movie…WOW!! I would be all in!! The Peter Pan’s Flight ride has stood the test of time & continues to be one of MK’s most popular rides…not hard to figure out what will work!!
Well as usual I see the Disney company imageneers are copying rides again. Rather then use there minds to create new ones. Isn't that what being a imageneer should emulate ? Hmmmm
The ride should have been a carousel where your horses eventually travel off of it like the first film, travels through the countryside, and then finishes with the horse race and big song number.
