D: Hey, Maple. As I told you last time, I want to show you some photos and videos I took when I went to an excellent Chinese restaurant.
M: Ya, I remember you telling me about that place.
D: The restaurant is called “Masaki”.
And that’s actually the chef’s last name.
M: It’s a nice name.
The chef was on TV, right?
D: Yes, he was on a TV show called “Jobtune” just a month ago.
M: That’s great because it’s a very popular TV show.
D: He appeared as one of the top-notch Chinese chefs that judged the menu of a really famous Chinese franchise called “Gyoza no Osho”.
M: Oh, I know Gyoza no Osho!
D: He made lots of insightful and accurate comments.
M: Cool.
How did he get such an honorable position?
D: He has received so many awards and medals for his past achievements that he is really famous in the Chinese restaurant industry.
M: Wow, incredible!
Is such a famous chef in Hamamatsu?
D: I know, right? We’re so fortunate!

M: The interior is very fancy.
D: This restaurant can accommodate 16 customers at once.
M: How did you first learn of this establishment?
D: It just opened last June, and one of my business partners took me there for dinner in November. I was blown away by the quality of their food.
I also went there for lunch last month with one of my friends.
M: I’d love to see what they offer!
D: Alright.
Let me show you some pictures and videos from my lunch there last month, and some of the full-course dinner that I had there in November.
M: Okay.

D: There are two lunch plans; lunches A and B.
M: Oh, nice. They look like two totally different meals.
D: Yep. My friend ordered the A lunch and I ordered the B lunch.
M: Great.

D: It was absolutely fantastic!
Everything was so good.
We’ve got to go there sometime.
M: Sounds good.

D: When I ate here in November, it was for business.
In that dinner, you can savor their soup that won an award at the Chinese cuisine world competition.
M: Wow, that’s so special.
D: They use flavorful tomatoes that have a sweetness to them with a balance of acidity and saltiness. It was amazing.
Mozuku, a type of edible seaweed, was inside, and it was so fresh I could crumble it onto the dish.
I enjoyed the contrast of flavors.
M: I’ve never heard of that sort of dish.
D: Also, you can have their shark fin soup. Yuba was also in the soup.
M: That sounds like such a fancy soup.

D: The chef was very nice and friendly. He explained all the dishes in detail the time I was there for dinner.
M: Great. You really have to take me there!
D: Yeah, I really want to.
It’s been especially popular after he was on TV.
M: Let’s book the restaurant as soon as we can.
D: Yes, let’s try to make reservations.

M: Thank you for showing all those videos and photos of that awesome restaurant.
I really enjoyed it.
D: Glad you liked it.

D: Oh, by the way, have you ever tried Peruvian cuisine before?
M: Peruvian? I’ve never heard of that.
D: Okay. I’ll take you to a Peruvian restaurant next.
M: I’m super looking forward to it since I’ve never had it before.
