The Arctic Cathedral or Tromsdalen Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Tromsø Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the Tromsdalen valley on the east side of the city of Tromsø, Norway. The modern concrete and metal church was built in a long church style in 1965 and seats about 600 people.

The Tromsø Cable Car was built in 1961 and was last upgraded in 2016. The Cable Car runs from Solliveien in Tromsdalen (50m above sea level) up to the mountain ledge Storsteinen, Fjellstua (421m above sea level) and the one-way ride takes about 4 minutes.

The top of Fjellheisen Cable Car station provides spectacular panoramic aerial view of the small Tromsø’s town which is popular tourist destination for northern lights. There is large outdoor terrace to enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Tromsø town and the virtually endless sight of islands, fjords, mountains, bridge and the open sea. The opposite direction lies the majestic mountain Tromsdalstinden, which towers 1,238 m above sea level. In summer, the panorama deck at the upper station provides excellent opportunities of seeing the Midnight Sun, while in autumn and winter it’s an ideal place for hunting the magical Northern Lights.
