Nice review, clear and precise content. A cockpit visit is always a bonus. I would love to see the sleeping compartments in the Airbus 350.

Alitalia shut down after 74 years due to financial hardship, and ITA is fully state-owned but already in trouble again, that’s why they are in talks with Lufthansa for a potential stake purchase.
I flew on ITA in an A-330 and let me tell you, you got lucky that you didn’t fly in that plane. It was old (takeover from Alitalia) dirty and the crew was less than friendly.
I flew on Delta and then had to connect on a domestic flight. NO GOOD! I would have rather flown on a low-cost airline like Ryanair.
Just as you mentioned, I got to fly to Miami on the old A-330 in business. It wasn’t bad at all, solid service, good food and a courteous staff. So, I guess it’s right on par.
You got lucky to enter the cockpit of the A350, fantastic technology, the best of the best. Personally, I much prefer Airbus over Boeing.
Good job and very detailed review. The amenities kit looked fancy, I hope you took it home with you. I tend to collect them, have over 40 of them now.
I flew with ITA from Rome to New York. Overall, a decent business class flight but I only slept for 2-3 hours. The crew were not overly friendly but seem to be efficient and pleasant.
They used all old Alitalia planes, crew, catering, facilities and got some new A-350’s. Oh and they changed the color of the planes (some still fly as Alitalia) voila, you have a new airline that the government paid for.

Wow food looks really incredible for a plane. It looks like at the same level of first class food on other airlines.
