Ueda is another hidden gem in a Japan that o recently discovered. It’s an old castle town with lots of authentic atmosphere. This town also is famous for their Ankake Noodle dish that we will try on this video.

  1. What a picturesque city, and so rich in history. I adore seeing these hidden gems–parts of Japan a tourist would seldom see. Thanks to Satoshi-san for coming up with such a perfect birthday present! It was cool that your destination was a matter of chance. The adventure certainly added to the fun! And, I love your idea, Shinichi-san, of choosing random cities to visit in Japan. Maybe you could use the old pin-in-the-map technique to keep it truly random. Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video!! ❤❤

  2. Beautiful it looks cold here in California it's cold but little sun and clouds nice park Japan is so beautiful and amazing loving it 🤩

  3. It seems like Ueda City is a little artsy-fartsy. (In spite of the word “fartsy” I mean that in the best possible way.) 😊 I love artsy-fartsy! ❤

  4. You look so handsome in that thumbnail.❤ I love that antique store, I would spend so much money in there. What a quaint area.😊

  5. Hi guys thanks for sharing this video lots of history awesome Castle enjoy your day stay safe take care 😘😘❤️🙏🌈💯🤩😍🥰

  6. I think you used the word "happy" after (like) every third word 😀 Clearly you found your happy place all thanks to Satoshi!!!!

  7. Bummer you couldn't taste or purchase any sake from Okazaki. I only had it one time but found it delicious. The head brewer is a woman which is not common for such a traditional craft.

  8. Yesterday, here in Sydney, it was 38C our hottest day in 2 years. Today is predicted to be 34C. Normally by March the weather is starting to cool down but of course we have to buck the trend. Your videos are so informative. I also love the fact that you have varied topics.

  9. Thank you for sharing your birthday trip to this charming city with us Shinichi and what a great idea Satoshi.

  10. Definitely adding this place to the list of cities I want to visit someday. Also, I definitely did a double take when Satoshi said "Minecraft"!

  11. Love exploring back and side streets when I'm in Japan and finding local shopping areas like this is such a treat. Hoping to find places like this in Sapporo on my next vacation.

  12. Your happiness is infectious during this trip! I couldn’t help smiling throughout the video, even when your chosen restaurant was closed, you persevered and discovered another. I hope you’re able to do more of these “mystery destination “ type of trips, this was a wonderful birthday trip…thank you for sharing it with your viewers. ❤

  13. Love how everytime shinichi understands what Satoshi is trying to say.. mine craft..?? Gold mine.. lol.. cutest thing ever..
