A big thank you to @Vessi for sponsoring this video! Now I know one can get a pretty extravagant meal in New York City, so an all-you-can-eat unlimited A5 Wagyu Korean BBQ meal isn’t too out of the ordinary, but was was a surprise, was the rice! Probably the most expensive bowl of rice I’ve ever tried. The clay pot rice with mounds of uni resting on top of a bed of truffles was quite the delight and it will set you back about $120. A very memorable experience indeed in terms of flavour, aroma, and impact to one’s wallet.

Hyun is a relatively small intimate eatery serving up big bold flavours and experiences. The unlimited A5 Wagyu was a sight to see and an even better meal to eat. While I had unlimited Wagyu meats before, something about Hyun was different…something that made it special and even more enjoyable. Was it the quality, the service, or the attention to detail?…probably all of the above. From the fantastic welcoming servers and hosts that invited you in the dimly lit establishment to the endless attention paid to grilling the perfect Wagyu as you dined, it was an enjoyable meals that can go on endlessly.

Thank you so much for joining us on this visit to New York, the Manhattan Chinatown at HayHay’s and this wonderful Korean BBQ!

  3. FYI…those are CANADA geese, not Canadian geese. Common mistake. Nice video, Tim. Always eating good stuff!! Yum!

  4. Tim awesome video I can see you thoroughly enjoyed this wagyu meal. Hope to try it one day soon. Nothing but the best when it comes to A5 especially the different cuts available. 😂

  5. You have to slurp……it's a culture for Japanese. Appreciate how enjoyable their soup is.

  6. It’s really not common to always call the host and waiters by their name. Not normal.
No one else does it. Even the kind and polite people don’t do it. Tim 🤷🏻‍♀️

  7. Your dining partner. You kept calling her Mitch. (Mich).? Wife, friend, or girlfriend.
Doesn’t matter. It’s just creepy. And using the food servers names too. Awkward 😳

  8. Love seeing that you were in my hometown! Wish I could meet you in person one day – you always seem so friendly. Hope you enjoyed!

  9. I’m 2 days late watching the video, and got a surprise seeing you walking on Mott Street in the NYC Chinatown. I didn’t recognize that Hay Hay Restaurant, and had to rewind to look at it a few times. I finally realized that it had been renovated, and has a new name. I guess I haven’t been to the Manhattan Chinatown for quite a few months. The bbq duck is always good. You & Michelin later went to Korean Town for the Wagyu steaks. The other surprise is that Michelin was in the Philippines having a good meal with you. Now Michelin is in NYC with you. The secret is out, and Michelin is that special girl you have been hiding 🤔 It is great that you are having bbq Wagyu steaks instead of a buffet for a change.

  10. Oh, wait, this is a late Valentine’s Day video with Michelin!!!!! You are fortunate to have Michelin accompany you to NYC, and to the Philippines last year. I’m hoping that there will be more videos together with Michelin who looks like a beautiful lady 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

  11. Tim,
It was nice meeting you and Michell (spelling) in Time Square. Thank you for taking timeout so my son and I could take a photo with you. Please thank Michell for taking the photo! The next time I'm in NYC, I will definitely try Hyun. Keep up the great vlogs!

  12. Tim & his lady 🍥🍤🥠🍘🍙🍛🍠🍢🍣 🥟🍜🥠🍱🍡🍣🍙🍢🥢🍚🍘🧆😋😋

  13. I read many bad reviews for this restaurant on google. Lot of money and drama to get poor service and “mediocre” food. Wondering if you were compensated in some way to improve their image. I feel like a lot of YouTube vloggers can be “bought” with free food or some kind of sponsorship…I probably won’t get a response, just hope others consider this before subscribing and supporting any of you.

  14. Love watching your delicious videos, love your company, love the food, absolutely love this channel *

  15. Hey Tim How’s the tandoor oven holding up? have you used it a lot? You built it so I am curious if that design is lasting or if it’s just something that you build again every grilling season.

  16. Lets make u 100k subscribers all i need from you is good long 30 minutes or so of quality buffe eatings where you film the food and when you place it on yoiur plate and see you eat it all offcourse 2 of those a week will make it am thinking maybe one at wednsday and one at saturday or something like this 🙂

  17. The idea of AYCE wagyu sounds amazing. The reality, for me personally, is I get pretty wagyu'd-out after maybe 8-10 ounces. It's just too rich.
