静岡県静岡市駿河区宇津ノ谷にある「宇津ノ谷峠 明治のトンネル」を歩きました。1876年に開通した明治時代の貴重な文化遺産ということで、平成9年に現役のトンネルとしては初めて「明治宇津ノ谷隧道」として国の登録有形文化財に登録されました。また、日本発の有料トンネルとしても知られています。
トンネル内はかなりの強風で、また異様な雰囲気でした。
I walked through the “Utsunoya Pass Meiji Tunnel” in Utsunoya, Suruga-ku, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, a valuable Japanese cultural heritage site opened in 1876.

Wow, it looks epic! I love that there is light in the tunnel, too. It's not the case for most abandoned tunnels in Japan 🤣 I remember being in one without lighting and without seeing the entrance or exit.. it was scary! 😆
