A walk through the rural neighborhood of Joyama in Niigata city, Japan. It’s still winter but a lot of the snow has already melted here.
I start out near a storage yard for unclaimed bicycles from the city’s train stations. I’m a bit surprised how many bikes there are.
Then I head into the neighborhood. There are lots of old traditional houses and farm buildings.
My walk ends near a highway surrounded by snow-covered rice fields.
