► “Sushi Numazuko” is a kaiten-style sushi shop located at Ginza 1-chome. It’s not as cheap as the usual kaiten sushi fair, but quality is better than most, portions generous – so as far as the food goes I recommend it, BUT………

And here comes “the but”: In terms of service, it disappoints. They forgot about one third of our orders, which we had to repeat after waiting for a while. In example, we placed an order (in Japanese), all the chefs confirmed by repeating our order out loud, but they didn’t organize between them, who was to do what, so the result was, everyone assumed somebody else was doing our order.

So overall I have mixed feelings about the place. I so much want to recommend it because the food is great, the shop is nice, but the staff lacks the discipline and friendliness you expect from any sushi-shop in Tokyo.

If you’re a big “uni”-fan (sea urchin) give the place a second chance. If not, I recommend the superior “Aoki Sushi” (also in Ginza) I visited a few months ago.

Have a look at that Aoki Sushi here:

– Enjoy!
