【4K🇯🇵】Yokohama Walking Tour - One of the best red-light districts "Oyafuko Street"

Yokohama has been introduced many times by us as a place of stylish stores and beautiful illuminations.
This time, we will tour the Kannai area, a deep spot in the metropolis of Yokohama.
The name “Kannai” comes from the fact that in 1859, when Yokohama opened its port, the area was divided into “Kannai” (inside the barrier) and “Kangai” (outside the barrier), with the barrier separating the port, foreign settlement, and one area.
Nogecho, Fukutomicho, Isezakicho, and Akebonocho, which we visited today, all fall under the “Kangai” district, the largest entertainment district in Kanagawa Prefecture. All of these areas are crowded with restaurants and amusement facilities due to their origins.

Among them, Akebono-cho is said to be the largest fashion health district in Japan. The street one street back from National Route 16 is also known as “Oyafuko Street (unfilial piety street),” a remnant of the old brothels.
