In this video I experience the luxurious journey from Tokyo to Osaka on the Tokaido Shinkansen Kodama train GREEN CAR. The green car has ample space to stretch out with plush seats and big windows. I enjoy a delicious bento meal, purchased from ekiben matsuri and eaten on board. Marvel at the stunning view of Mount Fuji as it comes into view from the window. I arrive in Osaka feeling refreshed and relaxed, ready to explore the city’s vibrant culture and attractions.
My ticket was purchased online 24 hours in advance and picked up at the JR Tokai office. The Kodama service stops at all stations and is a more affordable option than the faster Nozomi and Hikari trains. I traveled in first class, known as the green car, and found the seats to be comfortable. I also enjoyed a self-heating bento with jajamen noodles and sukiyaki beef and a second bento with chicken shumai dumplings, as well as a free drink from the platform kiosk using my Platt Kodama Voucher.
