  1. How do you keep an idiot in torment? I will tell you in 38 hours! 🤣🤣🤣
I was excited to watch this video and just realized I need to wait another 38 hours!

  2. Thanks guys – another great video with lots of good tips and advice. I'm considering a transpacific on the Edge in 2025 and this was really helpful.

  3. Thank you so much for all the great information and tips. I would love to do this type of cruise, but I don’t think my pocketbook can afford it. 😢 but I can dream. …. 😊

  4. Hi…great video!!
I haven’t taken this type of cruise yet and you answered so many questions that I have wondered about, so thanks a bunch!⚓️

  5. Thank you!
We are doing the same cruise, back the other way, on Eclipse, Sydney to Honolulu in April.
We are Aus citizens so only need a visa for USA. They are still requiring covid tests at this end too!
I’m so excited, I love sea days, no kids, and have tours booked for French Polynesia.
Thank you again! I’ll share this video in our cruise Facebook group

  6. Great video! I really love the idea of GBU (unlike Fetch, which is not going to happen!). Great tips and I can't wait to do my first TA in October! I hope to get as lucky as you did with the demographic! 🤞

  7. Crossing the Line ceremony was one of the more special things that I have done on a cruise.

  8. If you start in Hawaii you are already halfway across. A real transpacific should start on the west coast of north, central or South America.

  9. We LOVED this cruise and getting to meet you two! We are actually doing it again in 2024, along with the Fiji transpacific.
    See you in April!

  10. We did a transatlantic cruise in 2016. Doing another one later this year. Pro tip, book a cabin midship and on a deck close to the water.

  11. Guess what? Everyone gets old unless they die young. So don’t hate on old people because it happens sooner than you think it will.

  12. Thanks for sharing your insights as always and welcome to the Order of Neptune! In the Navy we received a Shellback certificate and wallet card. I imagine the initiation on a cruise ship is a bit more tame but no less meaningful.

  13. Surprised to hear things on the ship closed up early in the evenings. Haven’t done a transpacific yet but have done many transatlantics, 4 in the last year, some with up to 8 consecutive sea days, and nothing ever closed up early.

  14. In October of 2024, my husband and I are doing the Transpacific Cruise from Honolulu to Sydney on Celebrity Edge. I'm so excited! I love sea days. So I'm beyond thrilled. I've recently found you both. And, I love your channel. I've subscribed and watch you all the time. Is there a must-see excursion on this itinerary? I have already booked the Hobbitton Movie Set tour in Tauranga. I know, in such a nerd.

  15. I can get sea sick on a lake. I did cruises across the Atlantic and across the Indian ocean last year. Absolutely no movement of sea at all. I live in NZ and I'd NEVER cruise the Tasman Sea – its notorious. Everywhere in the Pacific shuts down on Sundays.

You don't need a visa for Australia or NZ – you need an electronic waiver – same as the USA and CAnada – its one form – its a small charge – its really easy and I can't believe people who travel don't read their email.

  16. Hey just a random question here. I'm wondering if you have any experience with MSC cruises. I'm constantly noticing that their cruises are really really cheap and I'm guessing that you get what you pay for but I'm curious about your impressions of the line.

  17. Jared just booked us and another couple on our Hawaii Anniversary/ turning 50 cruise!
Not exaggerating one bit when I say he is on point with everything. He also is great with making sure we are all taken care of. I worked on that side of travel many years ago and I have to say it is not as easy as he makes it look. So a huge thank you.
    AAR

  18. hi guys! i work remotely and would love to work from sea but i need need need internet to do my job, it's zoom heavy. Are there any cruise areas that have great, consistent wifi? im assuming repositioning is out, but if there's any places you think it's great, shout out!

  19. Transpacific is one of my bucket list….really loved your itinerary! I will be doing my first ever long cruise that is longer than 8 days this Sept/Oct….16-night Hawaii cruise R/T from Seattle, can't wait. The 5-sea days going and 5-sea day coming back will be a test for me to see how I do, personally I enjoy sea days, hehe

  20. We were on a similar itinerary on Ovation of the Seas in October and it was awesome. The only really big issues were related to time (and this applies somewhat to transatlantics as well). The app, cruise compass and signage couldn't get the date, day number or day of week straight. We were invited to an event on the Saturday that didn't exist.

iPhones etc. set the time zone by city, and there are times the ship time is in a time zone that doesn't exist so you can't set that time zone. Daylight savings time is opposite south of the equator, so if you find a country that has the time zone you are in but they are on the other side of the equator or have a different observance of daylight savings (eg. Samoa vs. American Samoa) you will be out by an hour or a day and an hour. Appointments made with people back home may end up on the wrong hour or day.

  21. I love cruising but I must admit the constant time changing zones makes me crazy. This is a great video, one of your best, congratulations!

  22. i would venture really research activities for trans pacific or atlantic while mediterranean asia northern baltic cruises are port excursion focussed

  23. check your government websites and destination country governments requirements do you book bus tour train travel packages or river cruises?

  24. I'd love to do a transpacific cruise, but the cost of flights, especially business class (my partner has mobility issues so standard economy is a no go) and pre cruise accommodation in the US is a major hindrance. Glad you enjoyed the cruise, and I hope our unusually cool and wet spring 2022 didn't stop you enjoying Sydney whilst you were there. I hope you had a few days to explore Sydney and surrounds.
