The central part of Italy is paralyzed by heavy snowfalls. Temperatures drop below 0°C(32°F) in Umbria and Lazio.
Roads between cities are covered with snow, snowdrifts on the roads. In a number of regions of the country, “yellow” and “orange” levels of weather danger have been introduced. In some provinces, educational institutions and government agencies are temporarily closed.
