In this video, we talked about the complete guide on how to visit the snow monkeys in Nagano from Tokyo, Japan!

It has been on our list to see the snow monkeys in Japan and we made it happen last January of 2020. We stayed at a traditional Japanese inn where the monkey park is just a few minutes away. The cool thing about this inn is that it has its own outdoor onsen/hot springs and there’s a possibility the monkeys will join you while you bathe in the open-air bath 😆
Jigokudani Monkey Park was founded by Sogo Hara in 1964 in an attempt to keep local macaques from harm.
We stayed at Jigokudani Onsen Korakukan and the cool thing about it is it’s about 5 minutes away to see the monkeys! Also, when you stay at this inn, you can have the chance to bathe with the snow monkeys at their onsens or hot springs. This is one of those experiences you need to do once in Japan in wintertime!
After visiting the snow monkeys, make sure to try the soba by the main bus station!

In Japan, you are supposed to slurp for any noodle you're eating (ramen, udon, soba, etc). It shows respect to the chef, and it allows for cool air to enter your mouth. 🙂
I love the Qoo drinks! The peacch one is amazing. I loved the ryokan you guys wend to, it's so cool how you can just look out the window and see the monkeys running around!
