Looks like Ghib has not tried Chinese vegetarian food much LOL. They don't use garlic and onion FYI. Most of the umami comes from mushroom. Lots of vegaterian stalls in hawker centres and also restaurant standard. Not sure about other hawker centres, I find the one near Mattarr MRT (Circuit Road Food Centre) has the most number of vegetarian stalls with great variety.
